Beavers Win in Extras
|
The rain came, as predicted, but the Portland Beavers and Vancouver Pioneers were able to complete their ballgame.
Vancouver pitcher Qi-chang Ec gave the Beavers all they could handle, but in the end, Portland left The Royal Court at Jersey Yards with a 4-2 win. Ec allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 8 innings. Portland, now 60-81, holds last place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.
Ec pitched a very strong game for the Pioneers, allowing 5 hits in 8 innings while striking out 9. It was all for naught, however.
