The New York Mafia picked up a win at Metroplex Park, knocking off the Dallas Texans, 6-4. Starting pitcher Mehmood Dar played a key role in the triumph. Jun'ichi Suzuki locked down his 2nd save. Even with the win, the Mafia have a dismal 45-95 record.

With one out in the top of the first, Lance Adams drilled a 3-run home run to left. It put New York ahead, 3-0. For the game, Adams was 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"It's a mindset," said Dar. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
