5 Straight Wins for Pioneers
|
The Pioneers had to overcome a fine effort from Bloomington pitcher Kulapati Pandian to grab a narrow 3-2 win at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. Pandian went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Pioneers, now 10-5, have been red hot.
Contributing to the Vancouver win was Edgardo Bustamante. In the bottom of the ninth, the 26-year old center fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-2, the Pioneers in front.
"The want-to is there for our guys," said Bloomington manager Javier Ramírez. "We'll get this thing turned around."
