The Kansas City Tornadoes grabbed a 4-2 win over the Bloomington Blazers at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park. Kansas City catcher Tetsuzan Araki went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once to earn player of the game honors. The winner was Na'il bin Bashshar in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Oliver Romero took the loss. The last-place Tornadoes are now 50-86, the Blazers 71-65.
A key at-bat came in the top of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Burton Moser, got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. It made the score 3-2, Kansas City, and helped them go on to win.
"A great game, a great day," said Moser about the win. "I can't complain."
