Loss to Sasquatch Extends New York Losing Streak
|
It was a fun time at Sick's Stadium, where the New York Mafia and Seattle Sasquatch tangled.
Seattle Sasquatch starter António Navarro kept the New York Mafia hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-1 win. New York is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
Baden Murphy dealt the Mafia a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Seattle leading 1-0, Murphy, who is a five-time All-Star, hit a 1-2 sinker for a run-scoring triple.
"I thought we were prepared," New York manager Roberto Campos said after the game. "I thought we'd be more competitive out there."
