|
The Bloomington Blazers wasted an inspired, 8-inning effort from starter Loeck Jurgens, falling 2-1 to the Portland Beavers at Waterfront Park. The Beavers, now 59-74, have won 4 in a row.
Portland won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With no outs and Greg Rojas on the mound for Bloomington, left fielder Ellis Stockdale hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Beavers fans to their feet.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Ryan Blandford.
