5 Straight Wins for Republic
|
The So Cal Republic knocked off the South Carolina Bombers, 6-2. So Cal starter Elias Bowen pitched well enough to earn top player honors. Bowen went the distance for So Cal. He gave up 2 earned runs on 9 hits. The Republic, at 86-45, have now won 5 straight.
So Cal took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, pinch hitter Drake Ramsey hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"I expect to carry this team on my shoulders at times," said Ramsey.
