Mustangs Get One-Run Win at New York
The New York Mafia got a superb performance from pitcher Kenny Allen. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Mile High. The Mustangs won the game, 3-2. In spite of the loss, Allen was named the player of the game. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. The win was Cory McCoy's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kenny Allen took the loss for New York. Quan Que notched his 24th save in 28 chances.

One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the sixth inning. Facing New York hurler Kenny Allen, José Rea, who is tied for 9th in the TML in total bases with 233, hit a single. The Mustangs went on to win.

"We were in it," said New York manager Roberto Campos. "We just didn't score enough runs."
