San Francisco Earthquakes starter Jin-woo Pi was in fine form against the Cabo San Lucas Toreros at Field de Los Layendas, leading his team to a 5-3 win. Christian Wallace earned the save, his 4th. The Toreros fall to 5-7 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2032 season.

The San Francisco triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Wayne Soileau. In the top of the seventh, the San Francisco second baseman hit a 2-run triple. It staked his team to a 3-1 lead.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Pi.
