Wolfe hits 2 home runs, Leads Black Knights to Win
|
The Brooklyn Black Knights stymied the Kansas City Tornadoes, 6-1, at Debris Field. Bradley Wolfe, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Brooklyn. Tomás Bravo, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 14-11. Mike MacInroy earned the save for Brooklyn, his 2nd.
The Black Knights beat the Tornadoes with some clutch hitting. The double by Rob Koller in the top of the fourth is a good example. With two down, Koller gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he came through with the big hit.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Wolfe after the game.
Brooklyn has now won 6 straight.
