Martínez Lifts Rhinos to 8-5 Triumph
Rubber City beat Georgia in a rain-soaked ballgame.

Rhinos designated hitter Pedro Martínez put his stamp on his team's 8-5 win over the Georgia Grays. Martínez went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Rubber City in the contest. Shinzo Sasaki closed the door for Rubber City, picking up his 33rd save of the year.

Martínez contributed when he hit a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh. Coming with two outs and runners on 1st and 3rd, the home run proved to be critical to helping Rubber City get the win.

"We maximized our offense today," said Rubber City skipper Larry Johnson. "That makes everyone's life easier."

Rubber City is now 73-55.
