Earthquakes Lose Late, 7-6
Cabo San Lucas beat San Francisco at Golden Gate Park, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Ashis Mudigonda, who earned player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Cabo San Lucas reliever Rafael Rodríguez, now 2-0. The loser was Kunihiko Mizuno. With the win, Cabo San Lucas goes to 55-72, while the Earthquakes fall to 49-76.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out, Haruki Yoshino hit a first pitch fastball from Kunihiko Mizuno for a run-scoring double. It put Cabo San Lucas in front, 6-5.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Mudigonda, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
