Mustangs Fall Short, 5-4, at Georgia
|
The Georgia Grays racked up a win at The Death Star, bumping off the Mile High Mustangs, 5-4. Orlando Días, who started for Georgia, pitched effectively for his team. In 7 innings, Días surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Bernalldo Rocchi got the save, the 28th for him this season.
Also having an impact was second baseman Lachlan Miners, who stroked a 2-run double in the bottom of the fifth for Georgia. For the game, Miners was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Días.
The 5th-place Grays now have a win-loss record of 47-78.
