Deleón Excels in Maple Win
|
Not everyone stuck through the 69-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
In a high-scoring game between Maple and South Carolina, designated hitter Dante Deleón was a difference-maker. The 29-year-old earned player of the game honors in the 12-8 Maple win. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. With the win, Maple goes to 73-51, while the Bombers fall to 72-53.
Deleón in the bottom of the fourth had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Marauders leading 7-2, he hit a 3-run home run.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Maple skipper Jesús Alfaro.
