Republic Reel Off Another Win
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Gerd Zabel, the So Cal Republic defeated the Dallas Texans, 8-3. Zabel was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Republic. So Cal reliever Lloyd Hunt was the winner. His record is now 5-0. Rick MacLellan took the loss. So Cal has run its win streak to 7 in a row.
