Marauders Fall to Blazers, 6-3
|
Camden Mansel helped his team muscle past the Maple Marauders, 6-3. In the game, the Bloomington designated hitter went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Paco Berroa got the save, the 5th for him this season. The Blazers improved to 64-60.
It could have been a different outcome for Bloomington, had it not been for Levi Meeuwenberg, the 24-year old first baseman . Meeuwenberg contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Bloomington up, 3-2.
"Good win for us," said Meeuwenberg. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
