Beavers Best Texans in Pitching Duel
|
Félix Reina pitched a gem to lead Portland to a 2-1 victory over the Dallas Texans. Tim Stady Jr. earned the save for Portland, his 21st of the year. The win puts the Beavers at 53-70, while the Texans drop to 62-58.
Ralph Blair delivered a big hit for the Beavers. The veteran catcher belted a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. The longball put Portland on top, 2-0. Overall, Blair slugged 2 home runs.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Dallas manager Anastasio Ojeda said following the tough loss.
