Sasquatch Pin 5-2 Loss on Rhinos
|
The Seattle Sasquatch picked up a win at Sick's Stadium, knocking off the Rubber City Rhinos, 5-2. Starting pitcher Dennis Montgomery, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. George Fortin closed the door for Seattle, picking up his 29th save of the year. The Sasquatch, at 53-68, sit in 5th place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.
With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Ruberto Sucena hit a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 105th hit of the season and with it the Sasquatch took a 3-1 lead.
"I love to hit," said Sucena. "As long as I keep loving it, the game's going to love me back."
