Black Knights Need Extra Frames to Get Past Jacks
|
Brooklyn Black Knights starter Elijah Green turned in an exceptional performance against the Jacksonville Jacks at Blue Ivy Stadium, resulting in a Brooklyn win, 3-2. The winner was Mike MacInroy in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Takashi Fujii took the loss. The Black Knights improved to 67-49.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the 11th, Kazuki Yamamoto had a chance to end it. Jacksonville pitcher Takashi Fujii had other ideas. But with two outs, Yamamoto hit a walk-off run-scoring single. The Black Knights had the win.
Green told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
