The New York Mafia got a strong performance from pitcher Jun'ichi Suzuki, who stymied the Hawaii offense en route to a 4-2 win at Aloha Stadium. Suzuki went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 10 hits, walked 3, and struck out 2. His record improves to 8-10. Even with the win, the Mafia have a dismal 41-78 record.

New York third baseman Denzel Tatchell helped the Mafia go up, 4-2, in the top of the fifth inning. With the game tied, Tatchell hit a 2-run home run off Hawaii pitcher Alexis Garrett.

"I felt we were ready to go," said New York manager Roberto Campos. "Our pregame was pretty good."
