|
The Cabo San Lucas Toreros went down to defeat to Kulapati Pandian and his Bloomington teammates. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Blazers. In 6.2 innings, Pandian surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Paco Berroa earned the save for Bloomington, his 2nd.
The Blazers got a big at-bat from shortstop Fernando Franco. For the game, Franco went 1 for 3 with a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 128th hit of the season gave Bloomington a 2-1 lead.
"I thought we played a nice game," Pandian told the Bloomington Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
Bloomington now owns a record of 60-58.
