Hawaii beat New York on the strength of starter Allen Cox's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. With the win, Hawaii boosts its record to 6-6.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the ninth inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Declan Ringer, hit a double. It helped Hawaii seize the win.
"Allen was Allen," said Islanders manager Leland Ray. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
