Tornadoes Fall Short, 5-4, at Mile High
|
The Mile High Mustangs scored a 5-4 win versus the Kansas City Tornadoes at McNichols Stadium. Mile High designated hitter Evan Hemming nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Bryan Lynch recorded the save for Mile High, his 1st of the season. With the win, Mile High goes to 55-58, while the Tornadoes fall to 44-73.
Mile High took a 5-4 lead on Tsunayoshi Tanaka's 119th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Tanaka hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Kansas City pitcher Gerard Kotas visibly frustrated.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Tanaka told the Mile High Today.
