Starting pitcher Morgan Tyson pitched well enough to help the Eureka Hornets beat the Oklahoma City Prowlers by the score of 5-4. Tyson picked up the win for Eureka, going 8 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 14-6. The save was credited to Alim bin Umar, his 3rd.
Eureka took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two out, pinch hitter Edmund McDonald hit a 3-run home run that brought the crowd to its feet.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Oklahoma City manager Jorge Valdéz.
