Bombers Take 10-1 Pounding
|
The South Carolina Bombers took it on the chin, losing 10-1 to the Bloomington Blazers. Oliver Romero, who is tied for 3rd in the TML with a 17 quality starts, pitched a strong game for Bloomington. The win puts the Blazers at 58-56, while the Bombers drop to 66-48.
Making an impact for Bloomington was designated hitter Pablo Ríos. He drilled a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, Ríos went 2-5 with 2 singles.
"I thought we played a nice game," Ríos told the Bloomington Herald. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
