The Cabo San Lucas Toreros knocked off the Maple Marauders, 8-2. Cabo San Lucas starter Phoenix Smith pitched well enough to earn top player honors. The Toreros now own a record of 50-64.

Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Junzo Takenaka's at-bat in the top of the ninth was crucial. With one out, the Cabo San Lucas shortstop hit a run-scoring single, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Cabo San Lucas skipper Matt Johnson.
