Yang Lifts Armada to 6-4 Win
|
The Quebec Armada relied on the hitting of designated hitter Tyan-yu Yang to stop the Kansas City Tornadoes, 6-4. For the game, Yang hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Adhipa Vemireddy picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-6. He struck out 7 in 6.1 innings. The Armada now have a record of 65-48.
Yang came through for Quebec with two out in the bottom of the fourth. With Quebec tied 0-0, Yang hit a run-scoring single. It was his 60th hit of the season and put the Armada up, 1-0.
In comments to the Quebec Today, Yang admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
