The San Diego Hops and Hawaii Islanders brought some excitement to The Brew Stade.

The Hawaii Islanders put together a convincing win at The Brew Stade, defeating the San Diego Hops, 11-2. Jim Burry was one of the hitting stars. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for Hawaii. Hawaii starter Rodrigo Garza was credited with the win after throwing 101 pitches over 5.1 innings. His record now stands at 13-5. Getting the save was António Méndez, his 2nd.

With the game tied, 1-1, in the top of the third, Burry had a key at-bat for Hawaii. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Burry, who is tied for 10th in the RCL in extra base hits with 40, hit a 3-run home run off Alberto Rivera, making the score 4-1, Islanders.

San Diego manager Randy England called the blowout loss "just something that happens from time to time."
