The Jacksonville Jacks shut out the Portland Beavers 1-0 today behind the strong pitching of Landy Lu. Lu surrendered only 8 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 11.

Following the last out, Lu appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Portland manager Ryan Blandford, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Lu's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.

The Beavers skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Jacks press conference, Lu confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.

"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Lu said.

"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Jacksonville manager Daniel Dumas added.

Up to now Lu has recorded a record of 8-10. In 21 starts he has fanned 125 batters in 156.2 innings with a 3.96 ERA.
