Rubber City got a terrific game from left fielder Raul Hernandes. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to New York, 5-4. Hernandes was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. New York now sits in last place in the Roberto Clemente League William Atteberry Division at 37-74.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when New York third baseman Denzel Tatchell, facing John Cosman, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Mafia the 5-4 win.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Tatchell said.
