The Mile High Mustangs defeated the Kansas City Tornadoes, 8-5, at McNichols Stadium. Mile High shortstop Héctor Cabrera was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Mustangs, with just their 3rd win in 10 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

José Rea contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat that helped Mile High get the win.
