Rubber City right-hander Sigfrid Arnim helped his team edge Columbus by the score of 2-1. Arnim kept the opposing lineup in check. Shinzo Sasaki earned the save for Rubber City, his 28th of the year. Rubber City is 63-45 and Columbus, with the loss, 44-62.

The Rhinos used some clutch hitting to beat the Aces, a good example being the at-bat of Pete Bell in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, Bell gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he hit a run-scoring double.

"We did just enough to win," Bell said.
