The New York Mafia got a magnificent performance from pitcher Lorenzo Soto, who muffled the Hawaii offense en route to a tight 3-1 Mafia win at Aloha Stadium. Kenny Allen earned the save for New York, his 2nd. New York is now 6-6.

New York right fielder Coy Jacobs made his contribution to the Mafia cause with a double in the top of the fourth inning. For the day, Jacobs was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk.

"We didn't string enough hits together to win the game," said tight-lipped Hawaii manager Leland Ray. "Obviously."
