The Brooklyn Black Knights topped the Portland Beavers by the score of 8-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Todd McCarthy. McCarthy went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Black Knights on the day. The Black Knights raised their record to 60-46.

McCarthy contributed when he hit a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. Coming with one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the home run proved to be critical to helping Brooklyn get the win.

"We came out aggressive," said Black Knights manager Diego Aguirre. "We came out swinging the bats."
