The first-place Havana Stogies welcomed Seattle to The Humidor.

The Havana Stogies blasted the Seattle Sasquatch, 14-3. John Oakes was one of the hitting stars. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 6 for Havana. Joe Hardy picked up the win, improving his season record to 17-2. He struck out 10 in 8 innings.

Fernando Cruz had a big 2-run double for the Stogies in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Havana trailing 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Jun Nakayama and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stogies ahead, 4-3.

"We got our butts kicked," said Seattle manager Carl Best.

The first-place Stogies have won 4 consecutive games.
