Havana and Portland duked it out at Waterfront Park and the Stogies came out victorious.

The Havana Stogies defeated the Portland Beavers, 6-3, in Roberto Clemente League action at Waterfront Park. Chong-yeol Pak received player of the game honors. The 9-year veteran went 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Diego Santiago picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 11-3.

In the top of the eighth inning, left fielder Si-dao Chi had a key at-bat for the Stogies. With Havana leading 4-3, he banged a 2-run home run.

Chi attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."

The Stogies improved to a lofty 78-30.
