The Maple Marauders defeated the Georgia Grays, 8-5, in Thurman Munson League action at The Death Star, with Maple designated hitter Dante Deleón named player of the game. Ze-dong Zhang picked up the win, improving his season record to 7-4. He struck out 7 in 5.1 innings. The slumping Grays have dropped 7 in a row.
In the top of the second, Motonobu Yamasaki hit a run-scoring double for Maple. The 13th double of the season for the Maple catcher put the Marauders on top, 1-0.
