De La Hoya Dazzles in Portland Win
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Portland Beavers and Havana Stogies clash at Waterfront Park.
The Portland Beavers picked up a win at Waterfront Park, knocking off the Havana Stogies, 7-0. Starting pitcher Felipe De La Hoya, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Portland is now 45-60.
De La Hoya allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 7.2 innings for the Beavers. He walked 3 and struck out 9.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," De La Hoya said.
