Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park was the site of a tense game between the Bloomington Blazers and Eureka Hornets.
Eureka starter Mitsunari Kobayashi had a strong outing against the Bloomington Blazers at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. In 7.2 innings, Kobayashi surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 13 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Ashoka Pancholi was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 29 of 31 save opportunities.
Eureka took control in the top of the seventh. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Edmund McDonald hit a 2-run home run to make it 3-1, Hornets.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Bloomington manager Javier Ramírez said following the tough loss.
The 4th-place Blazers have lost 4 consecutive games.
