The Dallas Texans defeated the Bloomington Blazers, 7-4, in Roberto Clemente League action at Metroplex Park. Esteban Ruíz received player of the game honors. The 12-year veteran went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Adrien Clément nailed down his 30th save. The Texans have now won 4 straight.

Torpoint, England-born Sean Clare came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd and the Texans trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run home run to left-center to put Dallas on top.

"The vibe's good," said Dallas manager Anastasio Ojeda. "We've got to keep it going."
