The Bloomington Blazers bested the San Diego Hops, 6-4, at Celestrial Fields at Hermann Park. Fernando Franco was named player of the game. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bloomington reliever Ronaldo Pérez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Jim Phillips absorbed the loss. Toyotomi Nakano got credit for the save for Bloomington. It was his 15th of the year.

Franco had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Blazers went on to win.

"Good win for us," said Franco. "We'll lace up our cleats and go after the next one."
