Big Day by Taylor Ignites Aces Win
Columbus beat Eureka at The Nest, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to right fielder Joe Taylor, who earned player of the game honors. Columbus now owns a record of 39-58.

Taylor contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Columbus in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-2, Taylor took a screwball from Pat Sheffield and stroked the home run to right. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Aces to leap in front, 5-4.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Taylor told a Columbus Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
