Almost There: Eureka On Cusp of R3 Triumph After 6-5 Win
The Eureka Hornets moved to within one game of the ABL World Series today, downing the visiting South Carolina Bombers at The Nest by a score of 6-5. Hornets first baseman Don Buller was named player of the game after he was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win gives the Hornets a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 League Pennant.

Buller had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the seventh inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Hornets went on to win.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Buller said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Nest. Slated to start are Beau Miller for the South Carolina Bombers and Mitsunari Kobayashi for the the Eureka Hornets.
