Rats Win Again, Extend Series Lead to 4-1
|
The Rock River Rats are one game away from a sweep of the Pacifica Shamrocks today after a 3-1 road win at McCormick Field. Rats right-hander Douglas Pantall was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings allowing 1 run. Rock River now holds a 4-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Double A World Series.
Scott McFarland didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to put Rock River on top, 1-0.
"It feels good to get this one," McFarland told the Rock River Daily News.
