2B Kelly Lights Up Shamrocks for 5 RBIs as Rats Extend Lead
A clutch 9th inning gave the Rock River Rats a walk-off win over the Pacifica Shamrocks and a 2-0 lead in the Double A World Series at The Rat Hole today. Young left fielder Josh Kelly, 21, earned player of the game honors for the Rats, after he went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice.

The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Kelly. Facing Mudasser Sabzvari with runners on 1st and 3rd, the Rock River left fielder had a 3-run home run. Game over, walk-off style!

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Kelly said.

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday, October 22nd, 2032 at McCormick Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Gonzalo Ramírez for the Rats and Félix Ruíz for the Shamrocks.
