In a pivotal Game 5, the Hawaii Islanders were hoping for a big game from starter Rodrigo Garza. They got one.

The right-hander shut out the Havana Stogies, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 3-0 victory. The Islanders took the 3-0 win over the Havana Stogies to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Garza, who leaned on his change up, allowed no runs on just 3 hits over 7 innings for the Islanders. For the most part, Havana hitters were simply overmatched.

"Feels good to get the job done," Garza said after the game.

The next game is set to be played on Tuesday, October 26th, 2032 at The Humidor. Slated to start are Rodrigo Garza for the Islanders and Felipe Arreola for the Stogies.
