Hornets Win, Move to Within 1 Game of League Pennant
|
The Eureka Hornets moved to within one game of the League Pennant today, downing the Quebec Armada 2-1 in a low-scoring affair at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Leading the attack for the Hornets was second baseman Ka-fei Bi, who was named player of the game after he hit 2 home runs. The win gives the Hornets a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Championship.
Bi had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the sixth, when he hit a solo home run. The Hornets went on to win.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Bi. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The next game is set to be played on Saturday, October 23rd, 2032 at Lucky 7 Ballpark. Slated to start are Morgan Tyson for Eureka and Adhipa Vemireddy for Quebec.
