Black Knights Walk It Off for 5th Win of Season
|
Jacksonville pitcher Landy Lu gave the Black Knights all they could handle, but in the end, Brooklyn left Blue Ivy Stadium with a 3-1 win. Lu allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 9 innings. Brooklyn reliever Ti-an Dan got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Enrique Morales was tagged with the loss. The win pushes Brooklyn to a record of 5-5.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the tenth, with Brooklyn trailing 1-0, Todd McCarthy hit a slider from Enrique Morales for a 3-run home run, giving the Black Knights the walk-off win.
In postgame comments, McCarthy said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
