Marauders Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Maple Marauders defeated the South Carolina Bombers, 6-4, at Legends Park today. Leading the charge for Maple was left fielder Angel Barajas. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Marcos León, credited with the win, is now 7-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1 innings. The first-place Marauders, at 59-35, now lead their division by 3½ games.
The clutch at-bat in the bottom of the ninth belonged to Barajas. Facing Shi-xian Le with a runner on 1st, the Maple left fielder had a 2-run home run. Game over, walk-off style!
"This place was rockin'," Barajas said.
