Earthquakes 1B López hits 2 home runs in Win
The San Francisco Earthquakes defeated the Maple Marauders, 11-4, in Thurman Munson League action at Legends Park. Juan López received player of the game honors. The 8-year veteran hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Noriyuki Ikeda got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 4 runs on 11 hits in 6.2 innings. The 'W' lifts San Francisco's record to 36-57.

The Earthquakes used some clutch hitting to beat the Marauders, a good example being the at-bat of Conor Borlase in the top of the third. With two down, Borlase gave his team the lead, 4-1, when he hit a 3-run home run.

"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Earthquakes manager Julián Flores. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
